ARE THESE BENEFITS OF INTEREST?
- Simplicity of use
- Small size and portability
- Full body applications
- Isotonic or isometric modes
- Protection of your joints as you work out
- Durability
- Ease of resistance changes
- Handbooks, suggestions and feedback as needed
Bullworker Fitness products will provide all of this. It doesn’t matter if you are only working out at home or if you prefer the gym and want to have an option at home or for travel.
The Bullworker Steel Bow is shown below. I use this for chest development and for seated crunches. Speaking generally, you push the larger black handles together against the resistance of the spring inside the steel tube. Or you pull apart the cables at the side against the same resistance.
Note the five springs, which give us a variety of resistances. Changing the springs is similar to changing the plates on a barbell or dumbbell, but easier.
Bullworker fitness tools have been around since 1962 and were initially distributed primarily in Europe. The man below, Jon Pall Sigmarsson was from Iceland. He was a Bullworker user. He was also the “World’s Strongest Man” winner 4 times.
Other noted Bullworker users were:
- Muhammad Ali
- Bruce Lee
- Prince Philip
- Konrad Adenauer
- Len Sell, Mr. Universe winner twice
The products have been steadily perfected over the years. My personal preference is to do a set of reps – as slowly as possible – and then finish with a lengthy isometric hold.
The remainder of this post will speak briefly of the Bullworker Bow Classic, present a few videos and explain the best way to acquire the products.
THE BOW CLASSIC
While the Steel Bow is 20″ long, the Bow Classic is 36″. The Steel Bow might be considered a “dumbbell” and the Bow Classic a “Barbell”.
Personally, I like to use the Bow Classic for back (latissimus dorsi) development. There are several back movements to consider, one of which is the “Archer” exercise shown below. Both sides are done, separately.
VIDEOS
Bullworker exercise may be new to many who have only used free weights or machines. These videos will show a variety of applications.
In this video, a young advanced bodybuilder compares Bullworkers with free weights in an unbiased manner. He has a laid back personality.
Here is a 5 minute “killer” back workout.
This is a very brief video, isometric routine only. It takes 5 minutes at most.
Here is a 5 minute abdominal workout. Do it if you have little time or do 2 or 3 sets for better results.

FINAL THOUGHTS
After using the Bullworker Steel Bow and Bow Classic for about 6 years, I can say that they have fit my needs better than any other form of resistance. In the past, I may have underestimated the value of the isometric mode. But at this point, I need to be sure that my joints don’t get overworked. With isometrics, the joints don’t even move.
My Bullworkers look the same today as they did when I opened the packages. They are built to last.
