BEACHBODY FITNESS

THIS WILL BE A SHORT POST

Full disclosure:

  • I have not yet used Beachbody training or nutritional advice
  • My impression was that Beachbody was pricey
  • Certainly Beachbody advertised heavily
  • Were they big on promises and light on delivery?
  • Was this just a scam?

But a few days ago, I had a conversation with a friend whose opinions I trust. She was a Beachbody user and was looking shapely and seemed to be bursting with good health. She also told me that Beachbody training was actually quite affordable.

She was not selling me anything, only relating her experience with Beachbody in routine conversation. She has no idea that I am writing this post. She mentioned something about teams within the Beachbody program. Apparently, there was lots of accountability going on.

DOING A LITTLE RESEARCH……

I found that there was a streaming service called Beachbody on Demand. This service offered:

  • Yoga
  • Dance cardio
  • HIIT (high intensity interval training)
  • Muscle building
  • Slimming and toning
  • Other cardio programs
  • Workouts for kids

The workouts can be made available on a cell phone ap. You may sort through over 60 programs by:

  • Workout length
  • Type of workout (cardio, dance, strength, etc.)
  • Trainer
  • Degree of difficulty

Materials are available, including a guide to a quick start, a detailed nutrition plan, a workout calendar and sheets to track your progress. The materials resonated with me, since I am a big believer in tracking workouts and calories.

Finally, the Beachbody on Demand program was only one of 60. There is an enormous library of such routines.

Necessary equipment includes the following. Links to Amazon are included. (As an Amazon affiliate, I may earn from qualifying purchases). As always with Amazon, scroll around from the links shown to see other options:

CONCLUDING

Quite honestly, Beachbody may not be for me. Arthritis in my knees and back keep me from engaging in most cardio routines. My resistance programs are plentiful and spring from many years of experience.

But, I would be derelict as a home workout blogger if I did not include Beachbody as a very viable program. It seems especially suited for those at home who appreciate expert guidance or who simply need a strong incentive to get started.

Beachbody has over 2 million subscribers. They must be doing something right!

Check it out. This may be the program that changes your life!
